Terms of service

Last updated 30 October 2026

In short

  • These terms cover the website, the hosted service at app.crosdesk.com, and the software you install yourself.
  • A licence we issue for a self-hosted installation, or a signed agreement, takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
  • The hosted service is free, offered for evaluation, and comes without a service-level commitment.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Buddhyantra LLP (“we”, “us”), the maker of Crosdesk. By using crosdesk.com, signing up at app.crosdesk.com, or installing Crosdesk, you accept them. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it, and “you” then means that organisation.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

The hosted service

  • Accounts. Give accurate details, keep your password and access tokens to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
  • Workspaces. Whoever creates a workspace owns it and administers it. Its administrators decide who joins and what they can see, and may remove people.
  • Evaluation. The hosted service is free and offered so you can evaluate Crosdesk. We do not offer a paid hosted plan yet, so it carries no uptime or support commitment. We may limit the number of users or workspaces, or change its features.
  • Keep a copy of what matters. We take care of what you store, but we cannot promise that nothing will ever be lost. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Self-hosted software

Crosdesk is licensed, not sold. A self-hosted installation needs a licence key from us, and the licence states the plan, the number of users and workspaces, and how long it lasts. The Community licence is free for up to five users. Paid licences are priced per installation per year, as listed on our pricing page or in your quote.

Unless your licence or a signed agreement says otherwise, you may:

  • install and run the software for your own organisation, within the limits of your licence;
  • keep copies for backup and testing.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense or host the software for third parties;
  • remove or work around the licence check or its limits;
  • share your licence key outside your organisation.

You run the installation. That makes you responsible for its servers, security, backups, updates, and for the personal data you keep in it. A paid licence covers updates released during its term. Implementation help and support are quoted separately.

Acceptable use

Do not use Crosdesk or this website to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including their privacy;
  • upload malware, or content you have no right to share;
  • probe, disrupt or overload the hosted service, or reach data that is not yours. Reporting a vulnerability to hello@buddhyantra.com is welcome;
  • record screens, consoles or network traffic that you have no right to capture;
  • reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it.

Your content

What you put into Crosdesk stays yours. You allow us to store, process and show it only as needed to run the hosted service for you and the people you share it with. You are responsible for having the right to put it there.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

Our rights

The software, this website, the Crosdesk name and logo, and the manual belong to Buddhyantra LLP or its licensors. These terms give you no rights in them beyond those stated here or in your licence.

Third-party services

Crosdesk can connect to GitHub, Google, Zoom, email providers and AI clients. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for how they work or what they do with data you send them.

Disclaimers

Crosdesk is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Dates, forecasts and reports in Crosdesk are calculated from the information you enter. They help you plan, but they are not guarantees.

Comparisons and prices of other products on this website are our own assessment from public sources on the date shown, and may be out of date.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Crosdesk is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim and USD 100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Suspension and ending

You may stop using the hosted service at any time, and ask us to delete your account or your workspace. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk. We will tell you why unless the law, or the need to stop harm, prevents it. If we ever end the hosted service, we will give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email, so they can export what they need.

A self-hosted licence ends when its term ends, or earlier if you materially breach it and do not fix the breach within 30 days of our notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and we will change the date at the top when we do. If a change materially affects the hosted service, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Crosdesk afterwards means you accept the new terms. A licence keeps the terms it was issued under until it renews.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts that have jurisdiction where Buddhyantra LLP is registered settle any dispute about them, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
